DIY china cabinet/hutch
Happy Friday, friends!! I am beyond excited to show y’all the china hutch that I made, using this amazing antique buffet. I also used a bookshelf, that I built a few years ago, to house all of my boys’ books. I loved having all of their books, at the end of the hall, right by their rooms. Now that their playroom is done, I love having all the books in their playroom. After I emptied out the book case, I took it out to my garage, to start working on it. I just had to take a few inches off the top, and add doors. It took me less than a…

DIY furniture appliqués
Happy Thursday, friends!! Hope you’ve been having a good week! This week, I have been busy working on a little project. You see, I have an antique buffet that I absolutely love, but didn’t know where to put it, so it’s been sitting in my bedroom, just waiting for the perfect spot in my house. Every time I see the buffet, I ask myself “where can I put this beautiful buffet, so I can see it more throughout the day?”. Then, last Saturday, after an amazing nights sleep, I woke up and realized that I was going to build it into a hutch, and put it in my kitchen. Here…

Checking things off my checklist, project #2
Yay! We made it through Monday!! I’m so happy to share with y’all another project that I finished. Just three more projects to go, to complete my list of nagging projects, that have been waiting to be completed!I actually really loved the color on my mudroom bench, it was dark and moody, such a contrast from the rest of my home. But once I decided on the wallpaper for my powder room, (which is directly across from the mudroom) I knew that the green had to go. I searched Pinterest, asked around, tried a few paint samples, and ended up going with a Benjamin Moore color called “White Dove”. It’s…

Checking things off my checklist, project #1
Happy Friday, y’all!! So you might remember the list of five nagging projects that needed to be finished, that I shared with y’all last Friday… One down (coffee table), just four more to complete! Doesn’t it always feel so good to check things off of your “to do” list? It always makes me feel so accomplished! Here’s the table, as it sat last week, complete with sharpie marks, peeling paint, pen/pencil marks, etc…When I originally got this table from a thrift store, the top was bright yellow. At the time, my youngest wasn’t even two years old yet, I didn’t have much time for projects, so I just gave it…
