Hi friends!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week!!! I am so excited to be joining some of my blogging friends today for the Lifestyles of Love blog hop, hosted by the very talented Cindy from County Road 407

If you’re stopping by from Ann’s blog Dabbling and Decorating , welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
There’s something so satisfying about turning a simple idea into something both useful and beautiful. I built this DIY plate rack for under $20, it added instant charm and function to a quiet corner of my kitchen. It’s the kind of project that feels right at home in a collected, vintage-inspired space—bringing warmth, character, and a touch of old-world practicality. If you’re looking for an easy way to display your favorite dishes while adding extra storage, this is it.

What you’ll need for this project
• Long pieces of wood, I used pine 1×2 boards
• decorative trim
• wood glue
• nails
• tap measure
• level
Start by creating a frame for your plate rack.

You could build the entire plate rack unattached from your wall and attach it after it is built. For mine, I chose to attach it to the wall as I built it.
Next, you will build the shelves for your plates/platters to sit on using pieces of your wood. Again, for reference, I used 1×2.

Nail a piece of decorative trim to the front of the plate rack, a few inches above each shelf, to hold the plates in place

I added some pegs in the middle and finished it off with a coat of white paint

Up next is Angie from Postcards From The Ridge – I can hardly wait to see the vintage platters that she is styling today!
