French Vintage Friday – winter mantel
Happy Friday, friends!!! I hope you’re all having a good week! It’s Friday, which is always exciting! Today, for French Vintage Friday, Tara and I are each sharing how we have decorated our mantels for winter. After taking all the Christmas decorations down, everything feels so empty and sad. It’s fun to add a few winter touches to keep things feeling fresh and happy! A faux cedar garland, fresh eucalyptus, and a few flocked pinecones for this easy winter look. I like to look to nature for my seasonal decor, winter green and pinecones for these winter months! Let’s hop over to Tara’s blog to see her winter mantel. Simply…

Hanging wintery branch
Happy Thursday, friends!! Today, Tara and I, are each sharing a simple winter decor idea. For my winter decor idea, I created a magical wintery scene above my bed, using a branch that I found outside, fairy lights, command strips, and a few other sparkly details. I started with this branch that I found outside, blown from a tree in a wind storm. I was going to hang it from my ceiling, but decided to save time and tuck it behind my headboard. I added fairy lights, glittery stars, gold glass pinecones, and some faux poinsettias. I used both plug-in lights and battery powered lights. For the battery powered lights,…

A look back at 2020
Happy Tuesday, sweet friends! While 2020 was definitely a tough year, it was also a beautiful year, full of wonderful experiences! With COVID-19 lockdowns, I was able to spend some quality time with my sweet boys and husband, and was also able to do a few extra projects. It was a moment to slow down, and just be. While my experience in 2020 wasn’t too bad, I know that so many people were deeply impacted by the COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions, which completely breaks my heart! I’m hopeful for a wonderful year for everyone, a year to get back to normal living. Today, I want to take a quick look…

New Year, new projects
Happy New Year, friends!!! 2020 was a year like I have never experienced before, with both amazing and hard experiences. I’m eager to start 2021, full of endless possibilities! There is a feeling of excitement in the air! I want to take a look back at all the amazing things that happened in 2020, but first, today, Tara and I are going to each share a list of five projects that we hope to accomplish this year. I want to quickly revisit the list of five projects that I posted almost a year ago, most of which are still unfinished. Hopefully this year I’ll do better at finishing my list…

And that’s a wrap – simple gift wrapping ideas
Happy Thursday, friends!! Today, Tara and I, are sharing a few gift wrapping ideas. I don’t know about you, but I tend wait until the very last minute to wrap all the Christmas gifts. I’m usually up all night on Christmas Eve, wrapping and wrapping! I’m so excited to get a head start this year, I might even finish wrapping before Christmas Eve! I start by gathering my supplies, gift wrap, ribbons, scissors, tape, and some little things to embellish the wrapped packages. Almost every year I use bells and greenery, which I used this year as well. I also used little bottlebrush trees, Santa snowflakes, little grapevine wreaths, and…

Five minute, Two Dollar DIY Christmas pillow cover
Hi friends!! I hope your day is going well! Tara and I are back for our weekly holiday DIY! Today, I am sharing a super quick and easy pillow cover. I found these cute tea towels from Target for just $1 each. After unrolling the tea towels, give them a quick iron. Then, using a hot glue gun, I glued the two towels together. Leaving the top open to slide the pillow insert in. I don’t sew, otherwise I would have sewed these, instead of using glue. I should really learn how to sew! After the pillow insert is in, glue/sew the top closed. Simple as that, you have a…
