There’s something magical about wallpaper—it’s the perfect way to add depth, charm, and personality to any room. A couple of years ago, I took the leap and updated my bedroom with a floral wallpaper that feels like a vintage painting. It was such a beautiful transformation!
Before the Wallpaper: A Pretty But Simple Space

While I loved my bedroom as it was—calm, cozy, and clean—it was missing that special something. You know when a room looks nice but doesn’t quite reflect your personality? That’s where I was.

Enter: Custom Wall Mural from Photowall. This wallpaper is a dream come true!! It’s filled with beautiful florals that look like they were painted by hand on canvas—soft, vintage, romantic… everything I love!
The wallpaper added instant character to the room and completely elevated the vibe. What was once a simple wall is now the star of the show. I chose to do just one wall to keep things balanced, and it worked perfectly.
Why I Chose Photowall
This was actually my second project using wallpaper from Photowall, and I can’t say enough good things. Their prints are gorgeous, the quality is top-notch, and the application process is super user-friendly.
Let’s Not Forget my first wallpaper project, my Entryway

The wallpaper in my entryway still makes me smile every time I walk past! The Florian print is soft, detailed, and so welcoming—exactly what I wanted to greet guests walking through the front door. It’s timeless but fresh and works beautifully with vintage accents and soft neutrals.
Next Project: my Mudroom or Laundry Room look?
Now that I’ve added wallpaper to two key areas in my home, I’m officially hooked. My next big decision? Whether to wallpaper my mudroom or laundry room.
Both of these rooms are primarily functional, but that’s exactly why I think they deserve a design moment. Imagine a playful print in the laundry room to brighten laundry day, or a fresh botanical design in the mudroom to elevate a transitional space. Either option sounds dreamy—and I’ll definitely be sharing when I decide!
If you have a favorite print or suggestion, I’d love to hear it!
Wallpaper is having such a moment right now, and I’m here for it! It adds texture, emotion, and a real “wow” factor—without needing a complete renovation. Whether you go for bold, subtle, floral, geometric, or abstract, wallpaper can instantly personalize a space in a way paint alone just can’t.
Some ideas I love:
Accent walls in bedrooms Statement entryways Wallpapered ceilings (!) Unexpected spots like backs of bookcases or closets
Are You a Wallpaper Lover Too?
I’ve caught the wallpaper bug, and I have no plans of stopping anytime soon! Each room I wallpaper feels more like me, and I love creating spaces that are unique, welcoming, and beautiful.
