Happy Friday, friends!!
Today, for French Vintage Friday, Im sharing these sweet little bowls that I came across last summer.
To me, they almost looked like tea cups without handles. But, I wanted to know more, so I asked my mom what she thought they would be used for. She is always my go-to for information about antiques. She LOVES antiques and knows so much about them. If you could see her collections, you’d die. They’re amazing!! Anyway, she told me that they are finger bowls.
What is a finger bowl? It is little a bowl that that they used back in the day. They would be filled with warm water, and placed around the table, to wash your fingers off, after eating.
I love learning about how things were used, back in the day. Always so interesting!

Thank you!
I remember those little finger bowls. Seriously my husband’s grandmother had similar ones they had their morning coffee in. They didn’t like a coffee cut so they used their finger bowls. Boy, do I wished I had those. Your inspiration makes us want to go out and look for them.
That’s awesome that they had some similar!! I love mine!!
