Old Stoneware
Happy Saturday, lovelies!!! Today, I’m so excited to be joining some sweet bloggers in a fun blog hop, hosted by Cindy, at County Road 407. We are each sharing how we use old stoneware/crocks in our decor. This may come as a surprise to some of you that know how much I adore antiques and vintage treasures, but I own just three pieces of stoneware! It’s something that I love, but just haven’t started collecting yet. Today, I introduce you to my three pieces of stoneware… They are all sitting happily on the shelves in my kitchen. My favorite of the three, is this blue spatter crock… It is the…

French Vintage Friday ~ antique buffet turned hutch
Happy Friday, friends!! How’s everything in your neck of the woods? Is it crazy town, everyone scrambling to prepare for the Corona Virus? It’s starting to get more and more crazy here! The shelves at the stores are empty, and the schools are going to half days so the teachers can prepare for closures. It’s craziness out there! I am such a home body, so I will happily stay home for the next few weeks! Today, I am sharing one of my most beloved pieces of furniture, this hutch that I built last year. I started with the bottom piece. It is an antique buffet that came from Europe. I…

Spring is in the air ~ spring table ideas
Happy Thursday, lovelies!! I just received the sweetest salt and pepper shakers in the mail from Arthur Court , so naturally I put together a little spring-y centerpiece for my table. I could hardly wait to display this little cutie! Isn’t this the sweetest salt and pepper shaker set that you’ve ever seen? It was quite a hit at the dinner table tonight! The only down side, it is so cute that my youngest couldn’t keep his little hands off of it. He kept asking everyone to pass him salt and pepper, he’s such a funny boy! I can’t wait to use this Bunny salt & pepper hanging set on…

Transformed ~ updating furniture
Hi friends!! I hope you are having a lovely weekend! I’ve spent a lot of this weekend out in the garage, doing what I love to do…transform furniture!! I want to show y’all how easy it is to take a piece of outdated furniture and transform it into something that you once again love! Here is the before, not really my style, but I love the shape! I took the the glass out of the doors, and replaced the mirror in the back with vertical tongue and groove paneling. I painted the cabinet, inside and out, with Rustoleum Chalked spray paint, in the color linen white. SOURCE I’m loving this…

French Vintage Friday ~ vintage finger bowls
Happy Friday, friends!! Today, for French Vintage Friday, Im sharing these sweet little bowls that I came across last summer. To me, they almost looked like tea cups without handles. But, I wanted to know more, so I asked my mom what she thought they would be used for. She is always my go-to for information about antiques. She LOVES antiques and knows so much about them. If you could see her collections, you’d die. They’re amazing!! Anyway, she told me that they are finger bowls. What is a finger bowl? It is little a bowl that that they used back in the day. They would be filled with warm…

bathroom refresh ~ the walls
Happy Thursday, sweet friends!!! I’ve been working on my boys’ bathroom for what seems like months, in reality, it’s only been a few weeks. I keep starting, but can’t seem to finish, because I get distracted with other projects. I am determined to get this space completely done by the end of this week! Today, I want to show y’all what I have done on the walls, skinny lap and simple panels… The skinny lap ended up being less than $15! I only used five 2x4s, cut (using a table saw) into 1/4in strips. I used nickels to space each board. I finished it off with a three inch strip…

Simply Spring ~ easy table centerpiece ideas
Happy Sunday!! Can you believe that it’s already March!?!! Spring will soon be here! I’m so excited! Today, I have put together a super quick and easy spring table centerpiece. I started with my go-to table riser, you can click HERE to see how I made it. I added some super old, super crazed, well loved plates to a little plate holder that I recently found at IKEA for just $3!! SOURCE I {obviously} painted it white and distressed it, to match my style. And, that sweet little bunny mold!! Everyone thinks it’s old, but I actually got it at Michael’s a couple years ago. They have some similar this…
