French Vintage Friday – vintage basket spring centerpiece

Happy Friday, friends!! It is finally officially spring! I am inside dreaming of spring while it is snowing today. I can hardly wait for warmer weather, sunshine, and flowers in my gardens!

Today, for French vintage Friday, I am sharing a vintage basket that I used to create a simple centerpiece, perfect for a Spring or easter table.

When I saw this basket at an antique store, my mother-in-law told me that is an old cemetery basket. I didn’t care what it was used for back in the day, I loved it, so I bought it! I knew it would be the perfect basket to create a centerpiece for spring.

I first placed a grapevine wreath on the basket

I then placed a stack of plates in the basket for the bunny to sit on.

To finish it off, I filled the grapevine wreath with some spring flowers

I love it so much!! It is the perfect vintage basket for spring!! So next time you’re at an antique store and happen upon a cemetery basket, maybe you should pick it up and take it home! I can’t wait to style this basket again, and again, throughout the spring and summer months!
