Christmas in July
Happy Saturday, friends!! Today, I’m so excited to be joining some blogging friends for a Christmas in July blog hop, hosted by the very sweet Terrie of Decorate and More With Tip. For my blog post today, I decided to put together a Christmas-y tablescape. Vagabond House recently sent me these darling Nutcracker Taper Candle Holders and Ornament Salt and Pepper Shakers which instantly inspired this tablescape! Mixed metals, glittered and gilded nuts, woods and whites, with a little twinkle and candle light are giving me all the holiday feels!! Although I am a summer girl, through and through, I can’t lie, receiving these darling nutcracker taper holders and ornament…

French Vintage Friday – old blue jars
Happy Friday, friends!! Here in the states, it’s Memorial Day weekend! In honor of Memorial Day, I put together a patriotic mantel display, using antique/vintage blue jars and flowers from my garden. I got these beauties, last year at an auction, for just $5 for the set! Some are more on the vintage side, and some are antique. I especially love the old jars with air bubbles in the glass! For my mantel, I simply put some viburnum “snowballs” in the jars, with flags. Here’s a little tip, if you want to keep your viburnum clippings lasting longer, dip the ends of the cut stems into alum, before placing…

Rustic meets pretty ~ Valentine’s Day tablescape
Happy Sunday, sweet friends!! Can you believe it is already February! Spring will be here before we know it! I am so excited! But, before we move on to all things spring, let’s talk Valentine’s Day. The other day, I received the most beautiful butter dish that I have ever laid eyes on! As soon as I unwrapped it, I knew that it would be perfect on a beautiful/rustic Valentine’s Day table! Look at those details, they are stunning, and the craftsmanship is impeccable! It is the Provencal Butter Dish from Vagabond House. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a butter dish that I like as much, not even close!…

Thrifted Treasure ~ January
Happy Monday, friends!! I’m so excited to start this week off with the monthly thrift store challenge! Be sure to check out the other girls that are participating this month, their links are at the end of this post. My finds… And… A set of two vintage sconces for just 4.99!! I was so excited! And these sweet little heart doilies are so charming! For the sconces, I knew that I wanted to hang them on the wall in the upstairs hallway. I first needed to figure out how to mount them on the wall without making huge holes that I’d have to patch later, if I decided to move…

Love is in the air ~ Valentine’s Day Decor
Happy Thursday, friends!! Today, I, along with Tara, are sharing a few ideas on how to add simple Valentine’s Day decor to you home. It’s easy to get carried away with all the reds and pinks around this time of year, but for me, I’m trying to keep it simple and neutral this year. Don’t get me wrong, I love red and pink for Valentine’s Day decor, I just don’t want use too much of it. I started in the kitchen… These shelves are always one of my favorite places to add a few festive touches. I kept it simple with a few vintage heart shaped cookie cutters, this metal…

French vintage Friday ~ vintage Valentine’s Day cards
Happy Friday, friends!!! It’s been such a busy two weeks, having my boys out of school for the holidays, and now with our new puppy! It’s been so much fun, but a little chaotic at times. Puppy training is no joke, it takes a lot of time and a lot of patience. I haven’t gotten much done around my house lately, my Christmas decor is still mostly up, which is fine, because I’ve enjoyed every moment with my sweet boys and our new puppy. Today, I’m sharing something that I love to collect, vintage cards. They are such a sweet way to add a little extra something to a shelves,…

French vintage Friday ~ alabaster lamps
Happy Friday, y’all! It’s the last weekend before Christmas! Can you believe it!! So much to do, and so little time! Every year, I promise myself to be more organized, and every year I’m not! Maybe next year! Today, for French vintage Friday, I’m sharing my love for alabaster lamps! I have loved them since the day I laid eyes on one at an antique mall, while on vacation. Their classic, vintage beauty has my heart! This beauty, that my husband found for me, on the marketplace, is one of my absolute favorites!! And, of course, I have a pair of alabaster lamps in my bedroom too. Now, let’s hop…
