20 things to buy on summer clearance to transition into fall

Hi friends!!! I hope you’re having a wonderful week!

Can you believe we’re getting towards the end of summer? Most stores have already marked their spring/summer decor marked down significantly, which is why Tara and I have decided to show y’all a few things that would be great to get now, on clearance, to use for fall.

Here are the first twenty-ish things that grabbed my eye when looking through the Michael’s and JoAnn’s clearance section online. You can click on any of the images below for the direct link to the item.

First up, containers. I love to fill containers big and small with fall flowers, pumpkins, leaves, or anything that adds that fall touch.

Florals! Y’all know I adore flowers!!! Here are some faux florals that would be perfect to incorporate into your autumn decor. Dahlias always remind me of fall because they bloom late into the summer and early fall.

When looking for fall colored florals, don’t count out those creamy white blooms. They are gorgeous in the fall arrangements too!

While looking through the floral department, be sure to check out the wreaths. This wreath is on sale and is coming home with me! I love its simple, whimsy look. I might leave it as is, or add a few dried florals to hang on my door this fall.

This cozy throw blanket is on clearance and would be perfect to curl up in on those chilly autumn evenings.

How about some art to hang on a wall or to place on a shelf. Summer is so bright and full of color, so in the fall I like having muted colors and even black and white.

Or you could snag this beautiful, rich wood toned frame and add your own print.

Small bud vases are something that I almost always pick up when on clearance. They are perfect for a sweet bloom or two, or used as a candle holder. I often use these little vases as taper candle holders on my mantel or table.

And, of course, lights! Lighting is so important when trying to create a cozy space. Candles and fairy lights are a must have for me during the fall and winter months! Here are some options that are on summer clearance!

I always love the look of lanterns on the porch in the fall!

A very versatile wood crate. You could fill this wood crate with just about anything for fall and it would be cute. Leave it wood, or paint it. So many options!

Or add these vintage looking numbers for a vintage vibe.
