Goodbye summer, Hello autumn! – bedroom mantel
Happy Monday!! I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend!! Today, Tara and I, are showing y’all how we have each decorated the mantel in our master bedroom for fall. I started by gluing, using hot glue, my DIY autumn garland to my mantel, then added a couple vintage books, some pumpkins, eucalyptus, and flowers. I wrapped small grapevine wreaths around the three center pumpkins. I simply unraveled a grapevine wreath and then wrapped it around the pumpkins for a little added texture. I also added just a few flowers to the wrapped pumpkins. So easy, unique, and fun! For flowers, I used wax flowers, protea, and pink spray roses. I’m…

French Vintage Friday – vintage tureen
Happy Friday, friends! I hope your week was wonderful! Today, for French Vintage Friday, I’m sharing something that I’ve had for a few years, it was actually one of my first vintage treasures, this lovely Johnson Brothers tureen. I added some fresh flowers to it, for a little added happiness inside my ironstone cabinet. I used “wet” flower foam for the floral arrangement. It was actually the first time that I’ve ever used flower foam, and I LOVED it!! I highly recommend using it! Flower foam comes in “wet” and “dry”. “Wet” is for fresh flowers, “dry” is for faux flowers. It holds the stems perfectly! It was a must…

Happy Monday, friends!! How was your weekend? Over the weekend, I worked on a few little projects. One of them being, this sweet little cabinet… I decided that I wanted it to be white and chippy, are you surprised?!! Using glue and white paint, I gave this sweet little cabinet a new look. I started by brushing some Elmer’s glue on the cabinet. In some areas I brushed the glue on thicker, and other areas got a thinner layer, this helps the cracks to vary in size, making it look more authentic. I left it in the sun to dry for just two or three minutes, before painting. You want…

Shelfie Ideas and A Fun Sugar Egg DIY
Happy Monday, friends!! How’s life? We’re still here, staying at home, and doing our best to practice “social distancing”. While under this temporary lockdown, I’m doing my best to find activities to keep my little guys (and I) busy and happy! We’ve spent a lot of time outside playing in the backyard, and have also spent a lot of time creating and crafting. I have restyled all of the shelves in my house at least twice! I started with this shelf a week ago, adding some vintage stoneware and spring vibes … The hydrangeas on this shelf still look amazing!Such a blessing, especially while I can’t just run out to…
