French Vintage Friday – vintage tureen

Happy Friday, friends! I hope your week was wonderful!

Today, for French Vintage Friday, I’m sharing something that I’ve had for a few years, it was actually one of my first vintage treasures, this lovely Johnson Brothers tureen.

I added some fresh flowers to it, for a little added happiness inside my ironstone cabinet. I used “wet” flower foam for the floral arrangement. It was actually the first time that I’ve ever used flower foam, and I LOVED it!! I highly recommend using it!

Flower foam comes in “wet” and “dry”. “Wet” is for fresh flowers, “dry” is for faux flowers. It holds the stems perfectly! It was a must for creating a floral arrangement in such a shallow container.

Flowers always make everything better, right?

  2. Hi Emily,

Who doesn’t love a great tureen? Fill it with flowers and perfect.

I have a few and don’t like idea of water and flowers sitting in an antique. I’ll have to think about this method.

Do the flowers last long in the wet foam?
