A look back at 2020
Happy Tuesday, sweet friends! While 2020 was definitely a tough year, it was also a beautiful year, full of wonderful experiences! With COVID-19 lockdowns, I was able to spend some quality time with my sweet boys and husband, and was also able to do a few extra projects. It was a moment to slow down, and just be. While my experience in 2020 wasn’t too bad, I know that so many people were deeply impacted by the COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions, which completely breaks my heart! I’m hopeful for a wonderful year for everyone, a year to get back to normal living. Today, I want to take a quick look…

DIY Winter Village
Hi friends!!! I hope you’re having a good week! Can you believe Thanksgiving is just about two weeks away! Christmas is going to be here before we know it! Today, for our weekly Christmas DIY, both Tara and I are sharing how we have transformed basic paper maché houses. I absolutely LOVE these sweet little houses! There are so many great ideas out there of how to transform these cuties. For mine, I kept it simple. I started by priming the houses… I then chalk painted the houses, leaving the roofs natural…. Using glue and glass glitter, I covered the roofs with a glistening sparkle! Click HERE for the glass…

French Vintage Friday – make your own vintage inspired bread boards
Happy Friday, friends!! I hope you all had a great week! Today, for French Vintage Friday, I’m sharing something that I recently made, vintage inspired bread boards. I’ve seen some amazing collections of these lovely boards, but when it comes to actually finding some, that’s hard to do! So what could I do? Make my own! For these boards, I used a basic, one inch thick, pine board purchased from Lowe’s. I started by deciding how wide I wanted the handle to be. I ended up making it two inches wide. I cut one side, and then used my cutout to stencil the other side. After both sides are cut,…

Decorating Ideas using a French Market Basket
Hi friends!! Happy Thursday!!! I hope you’re having a wonderful week! Today, I am joined by a very sweet blogging friend of mine, Cindy from Cloches and Lavender. We are going to show you how we have each styled one of my favorite Target finds, this darling market basket. Like all things in my home, I love to move this basket around from time to time. It is usually hanging on the peg rail in my kitchen, full of garden clippings, eucalyptus, or other greenery. The market basket even made an appearance in the Traum Wohnen September 2020 magazine, that was released yesterday!! So exciting!! The caption next to the…

Abundant Autumn – kitchen shelves
Hi friends!!! I hope you’re having a wonderful day! Can you believe it’s September!! Fall is almost here! Today, Tara and I, are sharing some fall decor ideas for the kitchen. My kitchen is the busiest place in the house (four boys!!!) so I like to keep the countertop decor to a minimum, and focus on decorating the shelves. This year I’m going for super simple, minimal touches of fall. Just a few faux pumpkins, that I replaced the stems on, using little twigs that I cut from a grapevine wreath. I also added warmer tones by adding these DIY bread boards (which I will post about soon) I filled…
