Quick fall shelf decor

Happy Thursday, friends!! Can you believe we are almost to September! This year is flying by!!

I know so many of you wait until September first to start decorating for fall, but Tara and I have already started putting a few simple end-of-summer/beginning-of-fall touches throughout our homes. Today we are each sharing the open shelves in our kitchens.

Here is a picture of how I had my shelves styled for the summer months…

I quickly swapped out a few things to make it feel more like fall…

I only had to swap out a few things to make it give these shelves the fall vibes. I added a large Ironstone bowl full of dried corn husks, a pumpkin cake some to cover the delicious pumpkin bundt came that I found at the grocery store, some candles, a faux pumpkin, and of course some dahlias from my garden.

Even though dahlias are technically summer flowers and bloom throughout the summer months, mine don’t start producing beautiful blooms until very late summer/early fall, so I always think of dahlias as fall flowers.

I love keeping my bunnies out year-round. Some people reserve their bunnies strictly for spring, but you will see bunnies around my home throughout the year. I think this bunny looks perfect mixed in with my fall decor.

Let’s hop over to Tara’s blog to see the fall decor that she added to the open shelves in her kitchen. simply click on the photo below….

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! I hope you all have a wonderful evening!
