French Vintage Friday ~ old buckets
Happy Friday, friends!!! I hope your week has been wonderful! Today, for French Vintage Friday, I’m sharing my love for old buckets. Old buckets are one of my favorite containers to hold fresh cut flowers! I absolutely love summer, but the fall feels are staring to creep in. A few deeper, moodier colored blooms are starting to show their faces in my floral arrangements. I’d love to know….what’s your favorite season? I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Sending you all happiness and sunshine!! ~Emily Check out where I have linked this project…. Blog link list

For the love of crates and baskets
Hi friends!!! Happy Saturday! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend so far! Today, I’m so excited to be joining a group of bloggers for a fun blog hop, hosted by the very sweet and talented Cindy of County Road 407. Today’s blog hop is all about baskets and crates, and y’all know how much I love old baskets, crates, bins, buckets, etc. I love to fill them with flowers, pillows, blankets, books, etc. When placing fresh flowers in a basket, crate, bucket, etc, start by finding some sort of container/vase to hold water for the flowers. For this antique crate/box, I used four glass cylinders to hold the water.…

Quarantine upcycling challenge – from bunk beds to day bed
Happy Monday, friends!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend, celebrating all the women in your lives! Today, I’m so excited to be joining some friends for a fun challenge! While it’s been kinda tricky for everyone to get out to gather supplies for new projects, we decided to challenge ourselves and create something using only things that we had on hand. French Vintage Friday – vintage world globes
Happy Friday! Today is May 8th, one of my favorite days of the year! My husband and I went on our very first date on May 8, 2002. He picked me up around 8 and we went to see Spider Man. It wasn’t too long after that, that I knew he was the one that I was going to marry. Fast forward, exactly four years later, May 8th 2006, at 8:06pm my oldest son was born. He was three and a half weeks early, and perfect as can be, a healthy 7lbs 4 ounces. It seems like just yesterday my husband and I were going on our first date, and…

bathroom refresh ~ the details
Hi, friends!!! I hope you are all doing well! Today, I’m so excited to share with y’all the refresh that I did in my boys’ bathroom. If you don’t remember, I’ll refresh your memory a little with this “before” picture…. I started by adding thin lap and trim to the walls. Click HERE for the full tutorial on the wall treatment. After everything was painted, I hung a new light fixture. I had to pick a light fixture that would cover this horrendous hole that the builders left behind the original light fixture. I could have always patched the hole, but I like to take the easier road sometimes. I…

A fun light fixture makeover
My son, who is a huge sports fan and athlete, kept asking me to decorate his room. Of course, it had to be sports themed. When thinking about the details, like a light fixture, I remembered this green barn light that I had gotten at a thrift store, it was just sitting in my basement. I was going to rewire it, and hang it as is, but my son absolutely hated the green! I also had the top to a school house light that the glass had broken on. I put the two together. Added a couple coats of my favorite Rustolem spray paint, in canyon black. And then wrote… “it’s…
