Happy December!! I can hardly believe it is already December! I missed you all!! I took the last couple of weeks off from blogging, but I am back and ready to share all the fun holiday things!
Today, I am joining a group of blogging friends for a fun Christmas DIY blog hop, hosted by Terrie, Decorate and More with Tip
My DIY is super simple. I started with some unfinished wooden nutcrackers that I found at Michael’s. I’ve also seen them at Hobby Lobby and Joann’s.

I stained the nutcrackers in the Minwax color “early American“.

After the stain was dry, using a small brush, I added a little white and red paint to areas of the nutcrackers.

Although the changes that I made to the nutcrackers were so minor and simple, it completely changed the look of these nutcrackers.

I love how they turned out!! I think they look so cute in my ironstone cabinet, next to my winter white village.

Let’s hop over and see what the other girls are sharing today. Simply click on the links below….
Thank you so much for stopping by today!!! I hope you enjoyed these DIY’s as much as I did! Wishing you all a wonderful day!

What a cute idea, Emily. I’ve never seen raw wood Nutcrackers to decorate. I’ll have to keep my eye out for them ~ for next year!! Your display is lovely with the ironstone houses. Merry Christmas.
