Hi friends!! Happy Thursday!!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!
Today, for “Christmas in July” Tara and I are sharing our Christmas hutch decor
Every year I take a lot of my dishes out of the hutch to make room for my winter village. For the past few years, this has been my favorite Christmas display. It is so magical!
Last year, in the early Christmas season, I made a wreath for my hutch and planned to add the winter village later in the season, but I never got around to adding all the little houses inside the hutch. The winter wreath adorned with the sweetest little village ended up being the perfect touch for my hutch last year! Simple yet festive! I can’t wait to pull this wreath out for Christmas this year!
What you’ll need to make this whimsical wreath
• wreath – I couldn’t find a wreath that I liked, so I used a flocked garland that I shaped into a wreath. The garland ended up being less expensive and is much fuller than any wreath that I saw.
• ribbons – hobby lobby always has such a great selection!
• lights – I used plug-in lights, but if you don’t have a plug nearby, I’d opt for battery powered lights
• small houses – the houses that I used came from Walmart.
Start by hanging your wreath. This makes it so much easier to work with and you don’t have to move it once you’re done creating it
Time to add those darling houses! I clipped the wires to a shorter length and placed them directly into the wreath. You could also remove the wire completely and use glue or wire to attach the houses to the wreath.
I also added lights and ribbons, and it was done! So simple and so cute!!
