Finding Fall – a simple fall mantel
Happy Thursday, friends!!! I hope you are having a wonderful week! Today, Tara and I added a few fall vibes to our mantels. We aren’t completely ready for fall, so just subtle fall vibes for now. Here is the space before (a complete mess)… To warm up the space, I added a couple gold mirrors, switched the furniture around, took the white slip covered chairs out of the space, added some candles, brought in moodier colored flowers, etc. I love having layered mirrors during these cozy fall/winter months. And, of course, bringing in some natural vibes with these seed pods from a Golden Rain Tree. Let’s hop over to check…

Simple summer vibes
Hi friends!! Happy Thursday! Today, I’m so excited to be joining my sweet friend, Tara, to show y’all a simple summer project. For my project, I found these plants on clearance at Walmart. With a little clipping and trimming, these little plants are going to be cute topiaries. After they where all trimmed up, I planted them in pots that I recently found at Michael’s for just a few dollars. All of the summer decor is 70% off at Michael’s right now! Vintage books, terra-cotta pots, and these topiaries is all that is needed for this simple summer mantel decor. Hopefully I can keep the plants alive! 💗💗💗 Let’s hop…

A bucket full of seasonal flowers
Hi friends!! How are you all? The past few months have been a real struggle for me, and I’m sure it has been hard for so many of you too. Recently I decided to push myself to add a little extra happiness into my everyday living, whether it be lighting a favorite candle, working in my yard, running through the sprinklers with my littles, going on a bike ride, arranging flowers, etc. Taking the time to find a little extra happiness to intentionally bring into my day has been so beneficial to my soul. This bucket of viburnum snowballs, fresh from my garden, brings me so much happiness, and brings…

French Vintage Friday – old blue jars
Happy Friday, friends!! Here in the states, it’s Memorial Day weekend! In honor of Memorial Day, I put together a patriotic mantel display, using antique/vintage blue jars and flowers from my garden. I got these beauties, last year at an auction, for just $5 for the set! Some are more on the vintage side, and some are antique. I especially love the old jars with air bubbles in the glass! For my mantel, I simply put some viburnum “snowballs” in the jars, with flags. Here’s a little tip, if you want to keep your viburnum clippings lasting longer, dip the ends of the cut stems into alum, before placing…

Using vintage books in your everyday decor
Hi friends!!! I’m so excited to be joining some very talented ladies today for a fun blog hop, all about vintage books, hosted by the very sweet Cindy from County Road 407. When decorating, there are two things that I almost always add to a space, fresh flowers/greenery and vintage books. Those are my go-to staples of decor. I absolutely adore old books! Their charm and character gives me all the feels! I was planning on sharing a few different areas in my home, in which I have used vintage books to decorate. Then yesterday, on a whim, I decided to clean and refresh my living room. And, turns out,…

French Vintage Friday – my favorite antique table
Happy Friday, y’all!!! I hope y’all are healthy and happy! With the world being turned upside down right now, it’s been hard to figure out what to post, how often to post, etc. Trust me, I have been busy around my house, and have lots to share. It’s just so hard to figure all of this out! Anyhow, today, I’m sharing one of my favorite pieces of furniture, my entry table. One time while my husband and I were visiting his parents, in WV, we stopped in at a little antique store. That’s when I fell in love with this table. It was love at first sight!! The only problem…
