The 12 DIYs of Christmas – gold star garland

Hi friends!! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Can you believe Thanksgiving is just two short weeks away? This year is flying by!

I really want to get all of my Christmas decor done before Thanksgiving this year. Fingers crossed that I will actually accomplish this goal. I usually have a goal of finishing early, but am usually just finishing up as school gets out for Christmas break.

Today for my DIY, I am sharing a simple star garland that I made in less than an hour.

What you’ll need

•air dry or oven modeling clay

•star shaped cutters

•wire – pliable and easy to bend

• rolling pin – I used one made especially for clay, it worked so well!

•paint (optional)

Start by rolling the clay out

Cut into star shapes

Place onto a baking sheet and bake according to the directions on the package

After the stars have dried, wrap the wire around each star to form a garland

I thought the stars were super cute white but decided to glam them up a bit with a coat of gold spray paint.

I think I am going to use this star garland on my mantel, but for now, until I decorate my mantel, I have it hanging on the pegs in my kitchen
