For those of you that don’t know, my husband and I bought a new house about two years ago. It is so very plain, with white walls, and very little added character and charm. I have finally decided to do some inexpensive room makeovers! Each makeover is going to be $100, or less! I started with my entry way, it is small and in desperate need of a little added character and charm. Here is the entry before…Plain white walls, and a red door that I never truly loved the shade of!

I started by adding moldings. All of which were cut from one 4ft x 8ft sheet of mdf, that was just $27. I also used some baseboards that I had laying in my garage.I chose a color from the old Martha Stewart collection, called winter’s day. I am so loving the wall color!!! I also decided to paint my front door a color that is more complimentary to the colors inside my house. It’s a deep, dark navy blue, it almost looks black.

So there it is, my first $100 room makeover, that came in at just $91!!!

MDF ~ $24

Paint for wall and front door and supplies ~ $55

Darling vintage platter ~ $12

I would love to hear what y’all think of my entry makeover!

Thank you for visiting LeCultivateur!!!
