The second space in my house that I did a $100 makeover, is my mudroom. First, I added tongue and groove boards, that I got from Lowe’s for just $11! And, sampled a lot of paint colors!I finished painting, but still didn’t love this space. I wasn’t loving the baskets or the black hooks. I found some wooden crates at Michael’s, 80% off, making them only $6 each! They were a little too short for the cubbies, so I decided to build a little shelf in each cubby, perfect for shoes. For the shelves, I used the leftover MDF from my entry project. I never used to save left over materials, in fear of becoming a hoarder, but now I do. I can almost always find a use for my scraps! As you can see, these are real life, non staged pictures! Projects always seem to bring the messes to an all time high!I wanted to switch out the hooks, but instead, I used Rub ‘n Buff, in antique gold, to change the color of the hooks. This space was completely transformers by paint, tongue and groove boards, some shelves made of left over scrap wood, and a little work.
