Happy Friday, friends!! Hope you’re all doing well!!
Today, for French vintage Friday, I’m sharing my love for architectural salvage.
All of the intricate details that went into building old homes, has always spoken to my soul! So much beauty! It’s always so exciting to find a lovely piece that came from one of these old homes!
I love this sweet little piece of antique molding, that I glued onto a basket, to fill with old dishes! It’s all about the small details for me!!!
The piece (in the picture below), next to the cow, came from the top of an old fence post, a baluster, or something. Whatever it was, I love it!
It’s the perfect small piece that can be tucked just about anywhere and adds a little vintage charm.
An old wooden piece that I painted, is the perfect back drop for my old frames.
I also LOVE old spindles, although I just have a few.
They are the perfect subtle touch for the wall in my powder room!
Architectural salvage can be somewhat hard to find, and can get pricey, but there are always great reproduction options! This big corbel came from hobby lobby, and I love it!!!
I, of course, added a little white paint to it! Isn’t it so cute?!!
Hope you enjoyed! I can’t wait to find more!

Love the framed recipe cards!!
I love those old pieces too and have a few in my house, think that’s why i like your posts you have so many nice old things like i do, they are treasures.
Em, I just love your architectural salvage pieces. I’ve always loved those sorts of things and they add so much warmth and character to a vignette, no matter how small they are. Adding them to other pieces like the basket is brilliant. I only wish I had more pieces like these but oh well. I am always on the lookout for them….
Hi Emily, Love your suggestions, as usual! Question: the 3 gold frames that have old letters in them – where did you get the frames? Are they metal or wood frames? What size are they? I love that idea!
They are actually from Walmart. They come in black, but with just a little spray paint, they’re perfect! I did a blog post about them today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
You have such a great talent decorating and creating. I love everything you shared today.
