Favorite Things Thursday ~ Faux vs Real

Hope y’all are having a good week! While I am patiently waiting for spring to arrive, I have been adding a few spring touches here and there. My favorite thing to use when decorating….flowers!

When adding flowers to your decor, do you prefer faux or real flowers? Hands down, I prefer real flowers. There isn’t anything like the real thing. Their natural movement and beauty is hard to recreate. But, I must admit, I have been seeing faux flowers around Instagram and blog land, that have made me rethink my exclusive love for fresh flowers.

I recently found these faux lavender plants at Walmart (I would give you the link, but they are not available online, in store only)…I looked at them several times before finally deciding to buy them. I’m so glad that I did. They were only $5, and look like the real thing. And, of course, they won’t die and require zero care, which is a huge plus! I have these lovely faux lavender plants on my hutch, love them!I also added one to my kitchen shelves. Doesn’t it look so real?!!

And, if you want to add real flowers to your decor, but don’t want to spend a lot, Trader Joe’s is my go to place. Their flowers are always amazing, and such great prices!!These hydrangeas came from Trader Joe’s, just $6 for three stems! They also have flowering branches right now. So much spring goodness!!

Which do you prefer, faux or real? I’d love to hear!!

Thank you so much for visiting LeCultivateur!!! I so appreciate you taking the time to read my blog, and for leaving me such sweet and encouraging comments! Y’all are the best and make blogging so much fun!!
