French vintage Friday ~ alabaster lamps
Happy Friday, y’all! It’s the last weekend before Christmas! Can you believe it!! So much to do, and so little time! Every year, I promise myself to be more organized, and every year I’m not! Maybe next year! Today, for French vintage Friday, I’m sharing my love for alabaster lamps! I have loved them since the day I laid eyes on one at an antique mall, while on vacation. Their classic, vintage beauty has my heart! This beauty, that my husband found for me, on the marketplace, is one of my absolute favorites!! And, of course, I have a pair of alabaster lamps in my bedroom too. Now, let’s hop…

Cozy Christmas bedroom
Happy Thursday, friends! Tomorrow, December 20th, my husband and I are celebrating our seventeenth wedding anniversary!! I can’t believe we’ve been married for seventeen years! I was just a baby when we got married, not even old enough to legally drink! It’s been the best years of my life! I usually don’t find the time to decorate the master bedroom for the holidays, but this year I did. I added just a few simple Christmas touches… Fresh flowers are always a must! The fresh garland hasn’t started to shed yet, but it probably will very soon! I know faux garland wouldn’t dry out, wouldn’t shed, etc, I can’t help but…

Thrifted Treasure ~ December
Happy Monday, friends! I hope your weekend was amazing!! Today for the thrift store challenge, I’m going to tell you a story… There once was a girl who had always dreamed of having a beautiful home, full of unique treasures, so she thrifted and thrifted. She thrifted quite a lot! One day she came across a coffee table that had seen better days. (Pictures from the marketplace listing) She saw past the wear and tear that had happened over time, so she sanded and cleaned, painted and sealed, and made a she made beautiful thing. She brought it in and loving placed it in her home. It was a little…

French Vintage Friday ~ vintage advertisements
Happy Friday, friends!! It’s crazy how close Christmas is! Because Thanksgiving was so late this year, it has been quite a challenge to get everything ready in time for Christmas. It feels like there’s just not enough time. Next year, I’m starting earlier…I say that every year though. Hopefully next year it really happens! Today, for French Vintage Friday, I am sharing one of my most beloved treasures…. This antique French advertisement is one of my favorite treasures ever! Two winters ago, just a couple days after Christmas, my grandpa passed away unexpectedly. We immediately flew back to be with family and to attend his funeral. While back there, we…

Gilded and Glittered – A Christmas tablescape
Happy Thursday!! I hope you’re having a wonderful week! It’s supposed to rain/snow this afternoon, so while it is dark and gloomy outside, I decided to put a little tablescape together. It all started when my little guy wanted to get some mixed nuts for his nutcracker. After breaking just a few nuts, he decided that he no longer wanted the nuts. I decided that I was going to use them for something that I saw in a Martha Stewart book. Here’s my inspiration picture, from an older Martha Stewart Christmas book…. I just love it! Such an easy way to add a little glitz and glamour to a tablescape.…

Five most nagging, unfinished projects revisited
Happy Tuesday, friends!! Do you remember the list of five nagging projects that Tara and I have been working on…. We’ve been working on our last project! You know what they say…”laundry is for Mondays”. So, now that it’s Tuesday, and our laundry is done (mostly), Tara and I are showing the progress that we have each made in our laundry rooms. Here’s the before… There are no windows in my laundry room, so pictures are always a little tricky. My main goal was to get this room organized. As if laundry isn’t bad enough, it’s even worse in an unorganized space! And, nothing makes organizing easier than cute labels.…

Happy Friday, friends!! I’m so ready for the weekend! How about you? I really need to finish decorating for Christmas, because on Monday, I, along with some of my blogging friends, are having our Holiday home tours! I can’t wait, but still have a lot to do! Today, for French vintage Friday, I’m sharing my love for vintage sheet music. I love it, especially during the holidays. It’s such a fun, easy thing to decorate with. Last year, I used vintage sheet music on my mantel… This year, I have some in my entryway…. I simply rolled each sheet of music, and tied it will some gold tinsel. I then…
