Love is in the air ~ Valentine’s Day Decor
Happy Thursday, friends!! Today, I, along with Tara, are sharing a few ideas on how to add simple Valentine’s Day decor to you home. It’s easy to get carried away with all the reds and pinks around this time of year, but for me, I’m trying to keep it simple and neutral this year. Don’t get me wrong, I love red and pink for Valentine’s Day decor, I just don’t want use too much of it. I started in the kitchen… These shelves are always one of my favorite places to add a few festive touches. I kept it simple with a few vintage heart shaped cookie cutters, this metal…

French vintage Friday ~ vintage Valentine’s Day cards
Happy Friday, friends!!! It’s been such a busy two weeks, having my boys out of school for the holidays, and now with our new puppy! It’s been so much fun, but a little chaotic at times. Puppy training is no joke, it takes a lot of time and a lot of patience. I haven’t gotten much done around my house lately, my Christmas decor is still mostly up, which is fine, because I’ve enjoyed every moment with my sweet boys and our new puppy. Today, I’m sharing something that I love to collect, vintage cards. They are such a sweet way to add a little extra something to a shelves,…

It was such a fun year, full of learning and growing. 2019 was my first full year of blogging. It was a lot of fun and so much work! Blogging keeps me super busy, and pushes me to finish more projects than I would, if I weren’t blogging. It keeps my creative side alive. And, of course, I get to connect with so many like minded souls, which I love! Let’s take a…

Gilded and Glittered – A Christmas tablescape
Happy Thursday!! I hope you’re having a wonderful week! It’s supposed to rain/snow this afternoon, so while it is dark and gloomy outside, I decided to put a little tablescape together. It all started when my little guy wanted to get some mixed nuts for his nutcracker. After breaking just a few nuts, he decided that he no longer wanted the nuts. I decided that I was going to use them for something that I saw in a Martha Stewart book. Here’s my inspiration picture, from an older Martha Stewart Christmas book…. I just love it! Such an easy way to add a little glitz and glamour to a tablescape.…

Crafting Up Christmas
Happy Sunday, friends!! This was the last weekend of my two oldest sons’ football season. It was a fun weekend full of football and excitement!! When I wasn’t at a game, I was crafting up something that I am so excited to share with y’all today…. While visiting my brother a few weeks ago, I came across something that I had been on the hunt for, a stocking stretcher! I wanted to find a bunch, but I just found one. But, I had an idea! I could make a few to use, at least until I find more. I started by tracing the original stretcher, on a thin piece of…

Top Shelf Clearance Challenge ~ November
Happy Monday, friends! This time of the year is always so much fun, and so busy! Tara and I have both been so busy, that we completely forgot to get a group together for this month’s clearance challenge! So, it will just be the two of us today. For my clearance find, I found the cutest little glass knobs at Hobby Lobby, and instantly knew that they would be perfect to use as the bases for some bottlebrush trees. I took the screws out of the knobs. This was the most challenging part, because the screws were glued into the knobs. So, if I were to do this again, I’d…

Fun and Festive Halloween Decor
Happy Monday, friends! Can you believe that Halloween is less than two weeks away!!? Do you decorate for Halloween? I don’t do a lot, but I always try to do a few fun things for my kids. My boys love Halloween! I was at Michael’s the other day, and found some really cute die cuts! I knew that with a few glass bottles and these die cuts, I could make something fun and festive. Using Elmer’s glue, I simply glued a die cut on each bottle… Such a fun and easy Halloween vignette!! For those of you that want information about this white wood riser, you can check out how…

Rustic Fall Tablescape
Happy October, friends! Today, I am so excited to be joining a group of blogging friends, for a fun fall tablescape Blog Hop, hosted by Terrie, from Decorate And More With Tip . The rules for this challenge were simple, a fall tablescape with at least one DIY. For my tablescape, I decided to have it rustic, with a touch of beauty…raw woods with brass candlesticks and greenery. To start my tablescape off, I gold leafed some wooden candlesticks. I found with these little wooden candlestick holders from Hobby Lobby… I stained them in a dark walnut color… Applied a thin layer of craft glue, and adhered a gold leaf…
